MD/DC Chapter APPA Board Meeting   4/6/01  Sheraton Hotel - Annapolis
Attendees: Kevin Mann, Sherry Vucci, Bob Burhenn, Gary Viola, Pat Tate, Willy Suter, Dennis Bohlayer
Absent:  John Jensen, Ayodele McClenney, Dan Branigan, Kevin Petersen

Meeting started about 9 in the café over buffet breakfast

Dennis first distributed a couple sets of mailing labels for us all to review and make corrections to.  Bob took the labels that needed corrections and will run Dennis a new set or two after the corrections/deletions and additions are made (including the rest of the ERAPPA Board).

Next Dennis handed out copies of the flyer for the Rocky Gap meeting for comments and corrections:

• We are going to put a small synopsis of the individual tracks in the blank (black area).  Pat and Willy will get Dennis something.
• Intro panel from Kevin – trash the flyer one and use the text version sent to us all via email
• Schedule panel – OK
• Keynote panel – edited further with various comments taken
• Hotel panel – OK
• Registration Section needs work
• Need price breakout for registration and golf
• Need to say payment required with registration
• Need spot for golf partner requests
• Removing the text for fax or phone registrations as payment required

Bob will email Dennis a version of one of our older meeting form with the registration stuff showing for a sample

Sherri asked Bob to pickup the box of brochures from her office some day soon to get them to Dennis

We all agreed to get in touch with other local schools (i.e. northern Virginia, West Virginia, Delaware, Pa.) about sending some flyers for the meeting.  By adding Steve Glazner of APPA to our mailing list, he called Dennis and said he would put (and has) our meeting on the APPA web page.

Sherri then handed out the financials and we discussed them.  She is still looking into the insurance.  We agreed on no shirts for memorabilia.  Discussed various items – Pat – a laser measuring thingy, Sherry – a bag of some kind.  It was left in Sherri’s trusting hands

Next Board meeting MAY 4 @ 9:00 at the Sheraton in Annapolis (same place)

Meeting adjourned and we all took off home (except Willy – car fire in his parking garage; Gary and Pat – who still can’t get casual Friday’s down; and Kevin Mann – (who showed up) but has a school car to get back.
