MD/DC Chapter APPA Board Meeting   5/04/01  Sheraton Hotel - Annapolis
Attendees: Ayodele McClenney, Dan Branigan, Kevin Petersen, Sherry Vucci, Bob Burhenn, Gary Viola, Pat Tate, Willy Suter, Dennis Bohlayer

Absent:  John Jensen, Kevin Mann

Meeting started about 9 in the café over buffet breakfast

Education

• Jim Cole – Willy will take care of be in touch with him to make all final arrangements.  Kevin will do the introductions for the sessions
• Commissioning – Willy will handle all the final arrangements and do the introductions with Sebesta-Blomberg
• Energy Purchases – Pat is going to handle all these arrangement
• Sustainable PM – Dennis still trying to finalize this and will handle all the arrangements and do the introductions

Sherri reminded all to let her know if they need any special AV requirements that they cannot fill themselves and she will try to help.

Schedule

• Wednesday Afternoon – set up message board in lobby
• Thursday 10:30 to 12:30
• Registration – Dennis/Sherri/Bob (name tags – I will need the info ahead of time to pre-print these if possible)

• Reception – Kevin do short introduction of Board Members

• Dinner – Kevin again

• “short welcome”
• upcoming events
• recognize any first time attendees
• feedback form reminder (Willy to do form)
• maybe vote on Logo if Dennis has it done in time (We agreed to fund him to get it done while Kevin was busy)
• Breakfast – Kevin housekeeping announcements

Memorabilia

            We decided on a folding chair, good tape measure (“I measured up at Rocky Gap”) and Post-it Notes (maybe)

Signage 

            Gary to take care of the ones for all the rooms.  Tracey to be asked about any for the meeting or the loan of the easels to hold the signs. 

Follow-up

• May 16 - Dennis to do postcards
• May 21 – Sherri to let us know the registration status
• May 25 – al to do follow-up phone calls
• May 29 – last day to register room and get guaranteed rates
• June 28 – 9AM – quick Board meeting to go over any last minute details
• Dennis is getting brochures to Delaware and New Jersey group
• Bob to try and get intro letter out to schools not presently on mailing list ASAP
