Doug is currently the Project Coordinator for major mechanical replacements and retrofits with the Facilities Management Department of American University. He has held this position at AU for 7 years and is responsible for determination of mechanical projects and priorities for the 40+ campus buildings of various ages located at American University.

Doug has been an active member of APPA and the MD/DC APPA Chapter for years and, with the assistance of several scholarships, is now a graduate from APPA’s Institute for Facilities Management. Doug has also attained credentials from APPA as an Educational Facilities Professional. Doug’s work in the construction field started over 40 years ago performing testing and inspection of soils, concrete and steel.   He is a bicentennial graduate of Frostburg State University. Doug also holds credential from the American Welding society as a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI).
