Welcome to the website for the Maryland/District of Columbia Chapter of APPA known as MD/DC APPA. As part of APPA and one of ten chapters in the Eastern Region of APPA, known as ERAPPA, our primary goal is to encourage and support the professional development of higher education facilities professionals. Since our inception back in 1970 MD/DC APPA has promoted the learning and engagement of facilities professionals employed at various Colleges, Universities, and K-12 institutions. The Chapter provides annual educational scholarships, professional networking opportunities, professional certifications and credentialing, and educational programming to help advance facilities administrators and their staff both personally and professionally.
The MD/DC APPA Chapter strives to be at the forefront of professional development for our members and networking opportunities with our business partners. The Chapter schedules three educational/networking meetings per year including our two-day annual meeting. Additional information about that meeting and registration information for all of our Chapter meetings, scholarships, and educational opportunities will be on our website.
Lastly, I encourage you to get involved. We are always looking for new members to serve on committees, become Board members or host a Chapter meeting.
